Accessibility Statement

Kennti is committed to ensuring that everyone — regardless of physical limitations or assistive technology — can access and benefit from our learning content.

Status: Kennti qualifies as a micro-enterprise under Article 3(3) of the German Accessibility Strengthening Act (BFSG), as the company employs fewer than 10 people and generates annual revenue below €2 million. This exempts us from the statutory obligations of that law. Nevertheless, we have made a voluntary commitment to progressively improve the accessibility of our platform.

1. Scope

This statement applies to the website kennti.com and its associated subdomains, in particular the learning content, dashboard, and study tools designed to help internationally trained doctors prepare for the Fachsprachprüfung (FSP) and the Kenntnisprüfung (KP).

2. Conformance Status

This website is partially conformant with the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1 Level AA. The sections listed below are not yet fully accessible.

What already works

  • Semantic HTML structure (headings, landmarks, lists)
  • Keyboard navigation on all main pages
  • Visible focus indicator (:focus-visible)
  • Alt text for informational images
  • Sufficient color contrast for body text (≥ 4.5:1)
  • Responsive design supporting screen widths from 320 px upward
  • Multilingual support (German, Arabic, English, Russian, Ukrainian, Turkish, Kurdish, Romanian)

Known limitations

  • Videos: Captions and transcripts are not yet available for all course videos. We are working on a comprehensive solution.
  • Interactive learning tools: Some tools (e.g. ECG Atlas, Image Atlas) are not yet fully operable by keyboard or screen reader.
  • PDF documents: Older learning materials may not have an accessible structure.
  • Forms: Certain third-party forms do not fully meet ARIA requirements.

Disproportionate burden

A comprehensive retroactive remediation of all existing videos and learning materials would constitute a disproportionate burden for Kennti as a micro-enterprise within the meaning of Article 17 BFSG. All new content created after the date of this statement will be designed to meet accessibility standards from the outset.

3. Preparation of This Statement

This statement was prepared on 27 April 2026 and is based on a self-assessment. It will be reviewed and updated at least once a year.

4. Feedback and Contact

Have you encountered a barrier or do you need content in an accessible format? We take your feedback seriously and aim to respond within 2 business days.

We can provide content in alternative formats upon request — for example as an audio file, an accessible PDF, or in plain language.

5. Enforcement Procedure

If you do not receive a satisfactory response, you may contact the competent market surveillance authority:

6. Our Voluntary Commitment

Even though the BFSG does not impose direct legal obligations on Kennti, we are dedicated to making our platform accessible to all users. Every new feature and piece of learning content is reviewed for compliance with WCAG 2.1 AA. We invest in ongoing education and work closely with our users to remove barriers.
