Diseases Library — Instructions and Features
The Diseases Library is your structured reference work for clinical pictures in KP format. Each disease is clearly structured — from definition to therapy, including the ICD-10 code and its own FAQ section with typical Exam Questions.
What is the Diseases Library?
The Diseases Library is a systematic collection of medical clinical pictures, prepared in the classic KP format as used in the Kenntnisprüfung and in clinical practice. Each entry follows the same clear structure: definition, etiology, hospital, diagnostics, and therapy. This structure reflects the thought process expected of you in the exam — and simultaneously helps you store Knowledge in a structured way in your long-term memory.
Each disease includes the corresponding ICD-10 code — currently, 88 ICD-10 codes are assigned. This allows you not only to learn clinical pictures but also to code them correctly, as required in clinical Documentation. Each entry is supplemented by its own FAQ section, where we have compiled the most common Exam Questions for this clinical picture.
The library is marked with structured Schema.org data — specifically with LearningResource and FAQPage. This makes the content readable not only for you but also for search engines and AI systems. The collection is constantly being expanded: new diseases are added regularly.

Step-by-Step: How to use the Diseases Library
- Open Library: Go to /erkrankungen/. You will see the list of all available clinical pictures.
- Search or filter for a disease: Use the browser search (Ctrl/Cmd + F) or filter by specialty if you have a specific disease in Head.
- Work through the structure: Read the entry from top to bottom — Definition, Etiology, Hospital, Diagnosis, Therapy. This order is not accidental; it corresponds to the exam-relevant thought process.
- Memorize ICD-10: Note the ICD-10 code. Examiners often ask specifically for it.
- Answer FAQ actively: Before reading the answer, try to answer the question yourself. This is the only way to notice where your gaps are.
- Combine with Simulator: If you encounter a case in the FSP Simulator whose clinical picture you do not fully grasp, open the corresponding entry in the library.
Tips and Best Practices
- Learn structurally, do not skim: The KP structure is not accidental — work through it consistently so that you can automatically recall it during the exam interview.
- Practice ICD-10 actively: Cover the code and try to name it yourself. This trains recall instead of passive recognition.
- Use FAQ as a self-test: Read the question first, answer out loud, and then compare with the solution. This is more efficient than silent reading.
- Combine with flashcards: Difficult details from the library are excellent for your own flashcards — the flashcards help you with long-term retention.
- Look up instead of memorizing: Use the library as a reference work during your simulator exercises — this anchors Knowledge in context.
