Study Match — Instructions and Features
Study Match connects you with other FSP and KP candidates who are studying for the exam at the same time, in your region, and in your preferred learning format. No public profile, no social media feel — just targeted learning partnerships that work.
What is Study Match?
FSP and KP Preparation is often lonely. Many candidates study alone for weeks, even though practicing together — especially for Medical History and the Doctor-Patient Conversation — can make the difference between passing and failing. Study Match solves exactly this problem: we connect you with suitable learning partners.
The matching process takes into account exam type, region, exam date, and your preferred form of learning. Proximity in time is particularly important: the closer your Exam Date, the better you fit together — because you are learning the same material at the same rhythm.
Study Match is built to be data protection compliant. There are no public profiles, no pictures, and no searchability. Your profile is only displayed to people who fit well with you according to the algorithm — and even then, only after a mutual contact request.
Key Features
Exam Type Matching
FSP candidates are matched with FSP candidates, KP with KP. The material is different — the partners should be too.
Region and City
Whether you are looking for a local study group or want to study purely online — the regional matching takes your preference into account.
Proximity in Time
The matching sorts by similarity of the Exam Date — a partner whose exam takes place two weeks before yours is almost always more helpful than one with a six-month gap.
Choice of Learning Format
State in advance whether you want to study 1:1 or in a group — and whether online or in person. The matching respects both.
Data Protection Compliant
No public profile, no searchability. Your name and contact details are only shared after mutual consent.

Step-by-Step: How to Use Study Match
- Complete registration: Open the Study Match form and enter the exam type (FSP or KP), region or city, exam date, and your preferred learning format.
- Submit profile: After submission, your profile is securely stored and ready for matching. A public profile will not be created.
- Receive match list: You will receive a list of suitable candidates — sorted by compatibility, especially by similarity of the exam date.
- Send contact request: Interested in a match? Send a contact request. Contact details are only shared once the other person agrees.
- Organize study meetings: Whether weekly Zoom calls for Medical History practice or a fixed café for in-person sessions — you organize that yourselves.
- Update profile: If your Appointment is postponed or you want to switch to a different learning format, use the profile update to receive new suggestions.
Tips and Best Practices
- Be specific with the exam date: Even if you only have a target month — enter something specific. The matching is only as good as your information.
- Medical History exercises are ideal in pairs: If you are training for FSP Part 1, choose 1:1 matching. One partner plays the patient, one the Doctor — then you switch.
- Groups work well for the KP professional discussion: In the professional discussion, it helps when multiple perspectives meet on one question. Choose group matching for this.
- Arrange fixed appointments: Learning partnerships fall apart if they are not scheduled. Set weekly slots immediately.
- Respect the data protection logic: Do not share contact details outside the platform before the other side has agreed.
