Your Learning Path with Kennti — FSP, KP & smart Repetition

Structured learning plans for FSP and Kenntnisprüfung, an intelligent Spaced Repetition system, and a Smart Match for your ideal study partner.

FSP Learning Plan in 8 to 10 Weeks

From Medical History to Doctor-Doctor Handover — three clear phases lead you to a passed FSP.

Phase 1 · Week 1–3

Medical History & Doctor-Patient Conversation

You train structured Medical History, OPQRST system, and patient-friendly language. Goal: complete Medical History in 20 minutes — without medical jargon for the Patient.

  • Current medical history, Past Medical History, medication, allergies
  • Family, vegetative, and Social History
  • Patient-friendly language instead of technical vocabulary
Phase 2 · Week 4–6

Medical Report & written Documentation

You translate the Medical History into a structured Medical Report. Short, clear sentences with precise terminology count more than elegance.

  • Medical History, physical Examination, Suspected Diagnosis
  • Differential Diagnosis with justification
  • Therapy plan, procedure, abbreviations (Z.n., V.a., DD)
Phase 3 · Week 7–10

Doctor-Doctor Handover & Simulation

You practice the Handover to colleagues. The switch from patient-friendly to medical language register is the most common stumbling block.

  • At least 10 complete cases in the FSP simulator
  • Structured procedure at the end of each Handover
  • Guideline-compliant justification of Differential Diagnoses

Smart Repetition with Spaced Repetition

Repeat at the right time — not too early, not too late. This ensures Knowledge sticks long-term.

How does Spaced Repetition work?

Cards you know well reappear less often. You see difficult content more frequently. The algorithm automatically calculates the interval.

Daily rhythm instead of marathon

Plan 15 to 30 minutes of Repetition daily — right after the learning block. This anchors Knowledge much more strongly than weekend breaks with catch-up sessions.

Frequently Asked Questions

To learning plans, Repetition, and study partner search.

How long does preparation for the Fachsprachenprüfung take?

With a confirmed B2 language level, you plan 8 to 10 weeks of structured Preparation. The Preparation is divided into three phases: Medical History and Doctor-Patient conversation, written Medical Report, and Doctor-Doctor Handover with Simulation. If you are working in parallel, plan an additional two to three weeks as a buffer.

How many weeks are realistic for the Kenntnisprüfung?

For the Kenntnisprüfung, plan 12 to 16 weeks with 20 to 30 hours of study time per week. Internal Medicine and Surgery account for about 60% of the material. Emergency Medicine, pharmacology, and legal studies should be included in every study week.

How does Spaced Repetition work at Kennti?

Cards you answer correctly are repeated less often. You see difficult cards more frequently and at shorter intervals. The algorithm automatically calculates when a card is due again — you don’t have to remember anything except to practice 15 to 30 minutes daily.

How much time per day for Repetition?

15 to 30 minutes daily is enough if you stay consistent. You anchor Knowledge most strongly right after active Learning. If you take several days off, you should catch up on the backlog in small portions — not in a marathon.

What are the benefits of a study partner via Smart Study Match?

With a study partner, you train Medical History and Doctor-Doctor Handover through role-playing — exactly what happens in the exam. Mutual accountability also supports you. Smart Study Match finds someone with a similar goal, Federal State, and pace.

Can I prepare for FSP and KP in parallel?

Parallel Preparation is possible in 16 to 24 weeks. It requires a solid B2 level. We recommend slightly advancing the FSP in terms of timing — this reduces pressure in the final phase of the Kenntnisprüfung.
